ddddddddddddddd

When I was working on my resume I felt bad for myself only having one thing to put under "design experience", since Heather said not to include any in class projects on your resume. So I'm going to try to expand that area by finding freelance jobs, or doing jobs for friends or relatives, whoever! I've been pretty frustrated with producing work that could lead to something for thesis. I've been doing paper collages, and "collages" in photoshop, and small  paintings and drawings of letters, but  contorting these things into a bigger idea for thesis has been challenging.  I've been looking at the work of Eduardo Recife, specifically his collaging. His work is relevant to what I'm doing right now because he incorporates numbers and letters in his collages. I've also been peeping the paintings of Michelle Arms, which I really enjoy looking at, they seem so cheerful. Aside from paintings she makes calendars and creates designs and images on small objects.

  1. If you're looking to just get design experience, so you can leave school with fuller resume try working with someone else in the program. You can do fliers for shows, or even if there's someone who's work you really like collaborate with them on a book or website or something.
